Kim began her dance career at an early age. After training with Michael Lanning, she was picked up by a talent agency and began performing professionally at age 14. She continued performing and began a career in dancing, acting, & modeling in New York City and Philadelphia. Her credits include TV commercials, day-time television, theater, runway, and print work. Kim continued her dance training at the Jazz Dance Center and the Susan Hess Modern Dance Center both in Philadelphia. She was then accepted into the dance program at Rowan University and continued her training under Melanie Stewart, Alexi Yudenich, Victor Moreno, Shaun Doyle, & Barbara Sandonato. During this time, Kim was a member of the Ballet South Dance Company and the Contemporary Modern Dance Company. Her choreography for "Par Vi Sinatfa" was recognized by the University and was presented at the 1993 Center for Performing arts graduation ceremony. She had received numerous awards including the prestigious Bryna Goldhalf Dance Medallion Award. Kim graduated with top honors earning a Bachelors Degree in the Arts. Kim then went on working as Managing Director with Melanie Stewart Dance, Philadelphia, where she was responsible for the successful execution of their first European tour to the Edinburgh Festival Fringe, Scotland and the Philadelphia Artist-in-Education program. She also performed in the company's popular piece "Beauty & the Beast", as seen on PBS-TV. Kim's other performance credits include Stephan Koplowitz, NYC, Wendy Perron, NYC, Independent Choreographers Exchange, PA, Philadelphia Fringe Festival, PA, Next Step Dance Company, NJ and has worked with Tap Team Two & Company, PA. Kim is the founder & Artistic Director of KAOS Dance Company which premiered in 2010 at the Philadelphia Fringe Festival with sold out performances & continues to be presented at the ETC Performance Series, PA, InHale Performance Series, PA, Alvin Ailey Theater, NYC, NJ Dance Festival, Rosemont College DFL Performance, PA, Show Up & Dance NJ, to mention a few. She has worked with Melanie Stewart in conjunction with Rowan University’s Dance/Theater Program, Phyllis Papa and the Atlantic City Ballet, as well as with Ann Trenka and Cooper River Ballet. Ms Sparks was an adjunct professor at Eastern University and was a presenting master teacher at ACDFA (American College Dance Festival) at West Chester University. Presently, she is an affiliate professor at Rowan University where she has written the Dance Studio Management Certificate Course and teaches it throughout the year. Ms Sparks is the director & owner of Today's Dance Center, Medford, NJ and a member of the Advisory Board for Broadway Artist Connection, NYC, Costume Gallery, NJ & for the Academy of Performing Arts in Burlington County. Her other teaching credits include master classes and workshops for BCIT (Burlington County Institute of Technology, Medford Campus), Eastern University Dance Department, International Teachers of Dance, Glassboro State College/Rowan University, La Salle University, Atlantic City Dance Project, and many local schools, theaters, and dance studios in the Tri-State area. Kim is a member of the Sigma Rho Delta, Fine & Performing Arts Society, National Dance Educators Organization (NDEO), Dance NJ, Dance USA, NYC Dance, and the Philadelphia Dance. Kim is a distinguished member of the Cambridge Who's Who among Executive professionals and was a charter member of I.D.E.A (International Dance Educators Association). She has judged talent competitions nationally and internationally and has a Master's Degree from Temple University.
Lauren Frazier-Gebhart began her dance training as a small child and later trained at The Southern New Jersey Academy of the Performing Arts at GCIT under the tutelage of David Kloss, Althea Leslie and Dale Schmid. She graduated from Goucher College with degrees in Dance and Political Science. During her time at Goucher, she had the opportunity to study with many guest artists including Adrianne Clancy, Christopher Fleming, Amy Marshall, and Kevin Lega Jeff. Ms Lauren has also trained in Rio de Janiero, Brazil at The Federal University, Deborah Cocker Modern Dance Company, Studio de Angel Vaianna and the Manguiera Samba School. She also studied English Folk Dance at The Cecil Sharp House in London, England.
Marisa began dancing at a young age which lead her to ballroom dancing that she competed in for many years. She continued her dance training in South Jersey and ended up at Today's Dance Center where she was a Sr Company member, NHSDA member and performed in the Miss America Parade, Disney Spectacular and The University of Bahamas-Love that Child Fundraising Mission Trip. Ms Evola then graduated from high school where she gained a scholarship to Rider University's Dance Program. After spending a few years there, she transferred to Stockton University where she graduated with a degree in Dance. Marisa has also performed for numerous dance companies and Universal Studios, Orlando as well as, Walt Disney World. She is also a certified fitness trainer and continues to train in New York City. Marisa excited to bring her love of dance back to the classroom at TDC.
Amy Megules began dancing in her hometown of Vineland, NJ, with the Vineland Regional Dance Company. She went on to receive her BFA in dance from State University of New York at Purchase, where she received the Bert Terborgh Dance Award. She apprenticed with the Joffrey Ballet of Chicago, and then danced with American Repertory Ballet. She has taught on the faculties of Princeton Ballet School, Todays Dance Center, the National Dance Institute of Trenton, and Mercer County Community College. While living in Cincinnati, Ms. Megules taught and choreographed for the Otto M. Budig Academy of Cincinnati Ballet, the College Conservatory of Music Preparatory Division of the University of Cincinnati, and was the ballet instructor for the elite and accelerated gymnasts at the Cincinnati Gymnastics Academy. Presently, she is on faculty with Today's Dance Center and Princeton Ballet.
Angela Denniston began her dance training under the direction of Maureen Fogarty in Bellevill, NJ and with the Garden State Ballet in Newark, NJ. She continued her studies in New York at Luigi Jazz Center, Jo-Jo’s Dance Center, and Morielli studio. Angela then went on to work with the Atlanta Ballet and Metzger Contemporary Center and was a core member of the Laura Metzger Contemporary Dance Troupe, performing in Southeast area of the United States. Further studies were with Alice Korsick and Anita Lupow. During this time she studied Creative Movement and Dance Therapy at Emory University Training Center, Georgia State University, and the Horsham Clinic, PA. Angela also has Psychodrama training, which she studied with Rosalie Mingin. She is the co-founder of Kaleidoscope, a psychodrama group that has performed across the United States. Angela has a Master’s Degree in Counseling as well as a Master’s Degree in Student Personnel and has numerous certifications for working with children. She has taken her life long love of dance and children and has combined it with drama education and movement therapy to be used as a powerful teaching tool. She has been the recipient of numerous grants to create programs which use the performing arts to enable and empower students to communicate ideas and feelings through the art of movement. Ms. Dennitson has been teaching dance and fitness for many years. Angela has been an instructor in Jazz fitness/Aerobics/Stretch at Kennedy Memorial Hospital, Burlington County YMCA’s, Physically Elite Center, Bob Boone Center, Clark’s Courts, and the Franklin Plaza in Philadelphia. She has taught dance at numerous New Jersey and Philadelphia dance studios and has been with Today’s Dance Center over Twenty -Five years!
As a resident of South Jersey, Ayla L. (Kaminski) Price began her training at Today's Dance Center in Medford where she focused her technique in ballet. Graduating in 2006 from The Richard Stockton College of New Jersey with a BA in Psychology and a BA in Criminal Justice, Ayla kept dance in her life by helping out at TDC and taking classes through out college and in Philadelphia & NYC. Though she was able to expose herself to a variety of disciplines while studying at out-of-state summer dance programs when she was younger, Ayla had found a new found love for movement through Modern dance. She was a core member of KAOS Dance Company and acts as the TDC rehearsal assistant to Director, Kim Sparks where her choreography has been recognized for outstanding technique & composition. Ayla has been part of the TDC family for the past many years! We appreciate her time & dedication!
Young children's Teacher-Mentor
Kelly Gogliuzza is a dancer, choreographer, and teacher with a love for dance and the arts. She started dancing at the age of 2 at Today’s Dance Center and then decided to pursue dance professionally in college. Kelly graduated from Towson University with a B.F.A in Dance Performance and Choreography, as well as NHSDA honors. While there, she trained in a multitude of styles such as Ballet, Modern, Pointe, Contemporary, Jazz, Aerial, Composition, and Somatics. She also had the opportunity to work with guest artists, such as Andrea Miller (Gallim), Ephrat Asherie, and Laura Halzack. Kelly was also involved with the Towson University Dance company for three semesters, performing works created by Robert Kleinendorst, Runqiao Du, and Susan Mann, as well as having the opportunity to perform multiple solo roles. Kelly has furthered her dance education at summer intensives such as The Rock School, Philadelphia Ballet, Point Park University, City Dance (Koresh), and Hubbard Street. Other accomplishments include serving as Secretary of Towson’s NHSDA chapter, as well presenting at the 2023 NDEO conference in Denver, CO. Kelly taught at a local studio in Maryland while persuing her degree and is super exxcited to be back at TDC as a teacher and office assistant!
Ms. Lisa started dancing at the age young of four years old. Through her years of dance she has studied Ballet, Tap, Jazz, Lyrical and Modern. At the age of thirteen, Lisa earned a scholarship to the Joffrey Ballet in New York City. After studying for a period of time at Joffrey Ballet, Lisa then moved on to the Rock School of Philadelphia for Dance Education. After graduating from high school, Lisa began her professional career performing in the Basin Street Follies in the Showboat Casino Hotel, Atlantic City. In that same year she began working for Legends in Concert at the Claridge Casino Hotel. Lisa continued to perform in Legends in Concert for the next four years. In 2004 and again in 2006 Lisa was invited to perform for Donald Trump’s birthday party. From then on she had been asked to perform in numerous shows, from New Year’s Eve celebrations to special event dance performances. While Lisa was engaged in her professional dance career she also attended college where she earned her associates degree in early childhood development. She has taught dance education to students of all ages in studios from Bristol Township, Pennsylvania to Hammonton, New Jersey. Lisa became part of the Today’s Dance Center family in January 2011, where she teaches all genres of dance and age levels as well as an active choreographer for the TDC Company, Ensemble, & Hip-Hop Crews. She presently is an active part of our weekly rotating company class and a busy mom of two.
Cameryn began her training at Today’s Dance Center in 2003, where she was trained in Ballet, Tap, Jazz, Hip-Hop and Modern. Ms Sparks’ training extended from TDC to summer intensives at River North, Chicago; Charleston Ballet, SC; Joffrey Ballet, NYC; Steps on Broadway, NYC; Broadway Dance Center, NYC; The Princeton Ballet, NJ; The Princeton Ballet, NJ; Rock West, PA; Korseh, PA; The Playground, LA and The Millennium, LA as well as workshops and master classes throughout the country and abroad. While a student at Today's Dance Center, she was a member of the TDC Dance Team, Ensemble & Company as well as an active member of the 76ers Junior Dream Team, Philly Phresh Crew and Beat Addikts United. Her position on these companies enabled her to perform at events at The Wells Fargo Center, the Philadelphia Fringe Festival, Atlantic City Ballet, Royal Caribbean Cruise Lines, Disney World, and the University of Bahamas, to mention as few.
Miss Cameryn has numerous choreography credits and awards under her belt from the Philly Phresh Crew Mini’s & Jr’s to the SMLS Production of “Aladdin” to teaching and choreographing for Today’s Dance Center’s Sr Company, Company and recreational students. She was honored to present her piece ‘Have Mercy” on its debut at the 2022 Rowan University Dance Festival and is excited to be on board at TDC this season after graduating from St Joseph's University with a degree in Business Administration.
TDC welcomes Michelle, a graduate of Rowan University's Dance & Theater Department. She was the first class to graduate with a Dance Major where she was an active member of CODA dance company and the theater departments annual productions. She has a minor in writing and is originally from North Jersey. Michelle continues to be active in the performance field, dancing for local companies on an annual basis. Michelle had her debut at WORLD OF DANCE and is an active member of Flair Dance Company. She started with TDC as an office administrator and has moved into a teaching and choreographic role with our recreational and performance group students. This season she will become a TDC Company Rehearsal Director. We are so happy to have her as part of the TDC family.
Victoria began her dance training at Rebecca Martin's School of Dance in Pt. Pleasant, NJ at the age of five. It was there that she studied ballet, tap, jazz, and pointe for twelve years and student taught under the direction of Rebecca Martin for four years. Ms. Victoria attended Rowan University, where she studied theatre-child drama, and dance. During this time, Victoria was a member of the Contemporary Dance Company, which along with performing in the annual spring dance concerts, Duke and Dance, and Convocation, also had numerous pieces in the American College Dance Festival Association (ACDFA). Her main stage theatre and dance performances at Rowan include Cabaret, Alice in Wonderland, Play it Again Sam, and Fuse. Since graduating from Rowan University in May, 2001. Victoria has worked teaching child drama and dance at several locations in the South Jersey area. Her credits include The Philadelphia Sports Club, YMCA, Child Craft Developmental Activities, Rebecca Martin School of Dance, and the Haddonfield School of Dance. Victoria is the mother of three amazing children and has been with Today's Dance Center since 2002.
